Taste of the Market: Sunday Night Fever
Fundraiser to benefit the Sarasota Farmers Market
Many people do not realize that the Sarasota Farmers Market is a non-profit, 501c3 organization supported by not only our vendors but also our community. We have many unseen expenses to maintain the quality of the Market which we have built over the years. Some of them include police and crossing guards to ensure safety ($18,000 annually), portable restroom facilities ($10,000 annually), and also to help with some of our programs that include donated space to local non-profit organizations, family-friendly programming, and our live music.
Please support the Sarasota Farmers Market by coming out to our 2nd Annual “Taste of the Market – Sunday Night Fever” Fundraiser on Sunday, March 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. We’ll have live disco music from Bootyshaker, delicious food from your favorite Market vendors (including a 50-foot salad bar!), raffles, a Cash Bar (featuring a Craft Beer Garden sponsored by Lagunitas), a Disco Dance-Off, and more fun throughout the night!
Your support helps us to keep the Sarasota Farmers Market one of the largest and healthiest in the country with an annual attendance of more than 500,000, generating in the vicinity of $56 million each year for the downtown core. We are proud to bring locally sourced goods, produce, and healthy living right to the heart of our community every Saturday morning, rain or shine, 52 weeks a year.
